UIPM Palm Springs World Cup - Thank You letter to ECI
Special Thank You's to ECI
Dear Mr. Cintas, Dear Mike!
In the name of UIPM I like to thank you for your strong support during the last World Cup in Palm Springs. Without your help, big problems we would have linked to the number of horses.
You should know, that I respect you, and your passion for Modern Pentathlon. I know we can in
future count on your support.
All my best wishes and greetings yours
Dr. Klaus Schormann UIPM President
On behalf of Kathleen, Margaux and Isabella, I want to thank you for your Equestrian Coaching.
If anyone asks any of us, you are the USA Equestrian Coach. My girls depend upon you, and their successes associated with your help (and failures when you were not available to them) lead me to what I think is an obvious conclusion -- Michael Cintas' contribution to Modern Pentathlon is tangible, measurable and real.
First, my hat is off to anyone who loves sport and athletes enough to face adversity and still provide professional, patient and careful guidance and training while shouldering so much expense and giving up so much time to do so.
Second, in this sport, the only event that causes me worry is the equestrian event. Part of the excitement of the sport is the wild card of drawing a horse in a lotery; but, the downside of drawing a bad horse can be so much more costly than a few points in a sporting event. Horses respond to confidence, and the confidence the girls take away from their time spent with you and from your thoughtful direction during events is clearly what keeps my hundred-or-so pound girls in control of a half-ton of misbehaving horse.
Third, as an American, as a parent, and as a fan of Pentathlon, I am grateful for the contribution you make to Team USA and my girls. You make all the difference -- the record (with Cintas vs without Cintas) speaks for itself.
Here is Ana Gonzales on her new horse from Germany "Koa"
at THERMAL "Hits" in the 3'6" division taking 2nd place
after the jumpoff
Her Equitation is impeccable
He seat is in the tack, her heels are down
a solid but not over exagerated release
her crotch on the pommel
her eye up
her very straight back

Congratulations Margaux Isaksen
